Brian & Jennie's Proposal Story

From atop Cadillac Mountain on Mt. Desert Island at Acadia National Park, shortly after the first rays of sunshine hit the banks of the United States this morning, I asked Jennie a question I'd been wanting to ask since the first trip I took with her last September, when we watched our first sunrise together over the heart-shaped reflection on Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park. She's been the light of my life every day since, from sunrise to sunset and through the darkness. I picked this morning to ask her to be my wife months ago, and waiting for this new day to get here has been a joy with Jennie. And thank God she said yes, or that would have been a long ride down the mountain and a highly awkward rest of our trip. I love you, Jennie. Thank you for choosing to walk with me on the trail of life.
